No. Even though you transact land for your clients, there is virtually no focus on the fundamentals of land and the types of serious (and expensive) issues that you and your client can get into relating to property boundaries, easements, title and more. And this puts you at risk.
We are Protect Your Boundaries, a Land Survey firm governed by the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors. As surveyors we are considered foremost experts on land and boundary related issues. Our parent company is Krcmar Surveyors, one of the oldest and most respected land survey firms in the province. This program has been put together following thousands of consultations with realtors, title insurers, and, of course, surveyors and land experts.
We have endorsements, collaborations or partnership with OREA, Real Estate Boards (including TREB, OMDREB, DRAR), the Real Estate Institute of Canada, and GeoWarehouse, as well as most major real estate brands in Canada including Royal LePage and RE/MAX.
The entire course is about 8 hours of content. You should budget around 10 hours to complete it, however you can start and stop (and go back and review) at your own pace. It’s up to you!
